We were lucky enough to have the incomparable Tommy Fricker for two stints in Idyll Minds. He was our original bass player.
Tom is the mystery man in the band. He is very private with his background, and it was only through some careful digging that the pieces began to come together. An accomplished bass player and vocalist, it is rumored that he started dabbling in bass at a very early age.
Tom at a young age...
Tom went on to play with a number of bands in the 60's 70's and 80's and 90's. He was seen playing bass in seemingly every rock and roll iconic band at one time or another. In the 60's, Tom often played with Mick and Keith in the Rolling Stones.

In the 70's, Tom had a falling out with Keith Richards over some HVAC work Tom did at his house, and once out of the Stones, Tom was scooped up by Led Zeppelin, for whom he secretly played on most of their best known hits.
Tom with the Led Zeppelin...
After leaving Led Zeppelin and taking some time to start a family, its a little known fact that Tom actually replaced Geddy Lee on tour for much of 1995 with Rush. His ability to mimic Geddy's vocals and bass playing led the way for audiences to not even notice the switch. Luckily, a few concert photos exist to document Tom's time with the band.

For the last twenty plus years, Tom has been playing the New England club scene with his band, The Screaming Vincents. While on a break from touring, Tom relaxed by playing bass with Idyll Minds.
